With die guidance of Bharathiya Guru Kainkarya Kulapathy, Joshier, Sri R. Venkataramier a branch of Sri VidyaMandir School was started in a rented building situated on Attur Main Road at Ayodhiapattinam The School opening ceremony was held on 13-7-86. Sri K.N. Lakshmanan hoisted the National Flag and Sri K.R. Pandurangam, B.Sc., Chairman, Sri Vidya Mandir Association declared open the School. Later a four-room tiled building was constructed and it was declared open by Smt.

 

Kamala Jain, Member, Hostel Committee under die Presidentship of Sri Harilal Vishindas Bathija, Vice-Chairman, Sri Vidya Mandir Association on 6-7-88. Today the school has grown into a Secondary School. Another Primary School at Kannankuruchi got inaugurated during the year 1994 to serve that area of the city. The area has rich potentials of growth. Sri Vidya Mandir Association launched die 'Sri Vidya Mandir Foundation to offer educational expertise to other managements seeking help and guidance.

 

The Foundation today helps 22 such schools in die districts of Salem, Periyar, Dharmapuri and South Arcot Sri Vidya Mandir School at Shivaji Nagar has won Accredition facilities with National open school and All India Association of Chartered Accountants - areas for educationally handicapped learners and bright learners respectively. All the schools of die Association follow CBSE syllabus and are well - equipped.

 

Bight Learners Library Programme, Career Guidance Cell, Language Lab and Sports complex are some of the special projects aiming at all-round development of scholars. The schools win All India Ranks in Board exams working with a rich co-curricular programme.

The school believes in discipline and firmness. Disobedience and disregard of rules will not be tolerated and will be regarded as the breach of school discipline.

1.Parents are requested not to enter the classrooms to visit their wards or teachers during school hours without written permission of the principal.

2.For the safety and security of the students, leave for half day should not be asked for. In emergency, written permission must be taken from the principal and the class teacher, coordinator and the transport incharge should be informed accordingly if student availing transport facilities. The student will be allowed to go home only with their parents.

3.Students must come in proper and perfect uniform.

4.Students must not bring valuable article viz., expensive watches, jewellery toschool. In case of any loss of valuable or other articles, the school will try their best to find the article but it shall not take any responsibility for the loss.

5.Parents are suggested to avoid criticism of the teacher or the school in front of the children as it causes them to lose respect for teachers.

6.Parents are requested to co-operate with the school to help their children’s progress by paying attention and almost care towards their children.

7.If any complaint, please meet the principal in person. He/she will look into these matters personally.
